One of ours

January 2025 - June 2025

Developed a 2D/3D hybrid detective game in Unity as part of an 8-person team, blending investigative gameplay with branching dialogue and environmental exploration. As lead narrative designer and writer, I owned the narrative vision and oversaw all aspects of story development. I designed the core mystery and investigative beats, developed character profiles, and wrote dialogue scripts. I collaborated closely with designers and artists to ensure environmental storytelling and worldbuilding reinforced the narrative themes. I also coordinated with the programming team to integrate dialogue (Ink + Unity) and narrative triggers into gameplay, providing detailed documentation and testing narrative-related features.

Hearts Alloy

Hearts Alloy is a short narrative game about a mech pilot and the onboard AI of the mech he is piloting. The two will face struggles both physical and emotional. The game is made using the Bitsy engine. I made it as an experiment to make a narrative experience with limited tools.

The Radiance (Terraria Mod)

September 2024 - November 2024

I worked as a part of a 10 person group to create a mod for the game Terraria over the course of 10 weeks. The mod was made to add a counterpart biome to the Hallow, similar to how the Crimson and Corruption are counterparts in Terraria’s base game. In this project, I worked as both a narrative designer and sprite artist. Initially, I was just supposed to be the narrative designer. However, due to our time constraints, I only came up with a basic backstory for the mod that we used to inform our design decisions. Afterward, I transitioned into an enemy artist role. I designed a couple basic enemies and the boss for the biome.

Puzzle Game Prototype

October 2023 - November 2023

Developed a prototype for a puzzle game as part of a college course, with the goal of deepening my understanding of physics and collision systems within Unreal Engine. I designed a series of physics-based puzzles that challenged players to manipulate objects and navigate obstacles. The project allowed me to explore Unreal’s Blueprint system and to troubleshoot common issues in collision detection and physics behavior. This prototype served both as a great learning exercise in designing mechanics that rely on physics interactions within a 3D environment.
